Many companies pay lip service to the idea of employee well-being, whether that's measured in financial terms, career trajectory, or personal fulfillment. Not Brighton Jones. The firm has created an environment that provides you ample opportunities to interact with mentors, devise and assess career goals, and take part in training on mindfulness and emotional intelligence. It's a thoughtful and innovative approach to building a company culture that I believe is quite rare, especially for a wealth management firm experiencing rapid growth. What's more, philanthropy is a central theme in day-to-day operations. Employees are encouraged to take an active role in the community, share their favorite causes with their peers, and contribute to the decision-making process when it comes to where and how the firm devotes its volunteer man-hours. Finally, I've been impressed with the company's transparency around growth projections and hiring plans. While it can be difficult at times to gain insight into the dynamics of the firm's individual divisions, I appreciate the willingness of senior leaders to disseminate both their short- and long-term vision for the company.
