Pros
The best part about working for Brightview is the residents
Cons
Unfortunately, Brightview prides itself on being one of the best companies to work for in the Baltimore area. Until they address the systematic discrimination which continues to take place, it will not be a place anyone of color should work and expect fair treatment. This problem is apparent at most properties and in all positions. My personal experience was at one of the Catonsville, MD locations. At the Rolling Hills property, the racial discrimination is an ongoing issue. How is it ok for one employee to be found sleeping on the job to be terminated (who stayed out of trouble and did their job well) and another employee to be found sleeping (who is a problem employee with a few write ups for insubordination) and still have their job? There are many examples I can share. This one hit home as this type of treatment was blatant and resulted in the loss of a job for a good person. HR has been made of the problems at this community, however it appears this has and will continue to fall upon deaf ears. To date, nothing has been done, except blatantly treat employees of color differently.
