Pros
Lots of my coworkers are really cool and nice and look out for each other. You can work pretty much as many hours as you want. Pay is decent for being a minimum-wage job and they pay for overtime.
Cons
Little to no training, even if you have zero experience. Very ‘sink or swim’. It’s “part time”, but they’ll schedule you for over 40 hours a week without asking what your availability is. Because of COVID, lots of workers are constantly out because of it, so the store is consistently understaffed and overworked, causing long lines and spotty customer service which only fuels the Beverly Hills customers’ demanding and entitled behavior. The customers will get into shouting matches with each other in the store, or lay into the workers over issues that the worker has no training or experience or control over, and management does little to nothing to give the workers the training to deal with issues that arise. If you’re hired as a cashier, you will not leave the stand except for your mandated breaks. There’s no rotation to different parts of the store or different tasks. And the standing in one place, awkwardly lifting heavy bags of groceries all day is physically taxing and draining.
