Pros

Good people at the department level

Cons

The company acts like it HATES contractors and will do anything to make their lives as miserable as possible. No PTO, Terrible insurance offerings, 2 year maximum employment with unlikely extension (even if your department wants to hire you). They're letting go of top talent over an asinine SOP year cap. They make it impossible to create new FTE roles to hire people at the cap. They seem like they want an endless stream of cheap labor instead of keeping good employees.

Pros

Organized, Opportunity for growth, great internship program

Cons

Very big company, sometimes it's hard to get a good idea of how the entire company and all of it's departments connect.

Pros

Interesting work that brings new medicines addressing unmet medical needs. Working with a group of highly skilled and knowledgeable people Allowing requests to be laid-off with generous severance enabling early retirement if so desired.

Cons

Loss of experienced people leading to loss of institutional knowledge and expertise at getting things done right the first time. Many new folks learning their jobs. Continuous budget cuts and layoffs - good news is established folks can request layoff and retire early WORST huge errosion in medical benefits. 2025-2026 32% increase in cost of single person high deductible insurance. Huge increase in allowable billable cost for the same cpt code services (eg. 2025 Dr visit $115 and same visit in 2026 $247). This change was hidden from employees until they went to the Dr and received their EOB bills. Company is managing loss of patents/revenue by hitting employee health care hard
