Pros

Job atmosphere Benefits Community Routine Longevity

Cons

It's a political game in the long run. Scheduling is dependant on what the security supervisor wants. The security supervisor is tight with the manager so he gets favoritism and special percs

Pros

Discounted/subsidized cafeteria. Pension plan. Cheap health insurance but mostly if you use it at Broward Health itself. Very difficult to get fired. This is also a con.

Cons

- Underpay everyone - Lots of politicking in corporate - No promotions - Non-unionized IT department, no recourse. - No regard for employee safety. When Work from home was ended, the office space was a storage facility, with stacks of boxes blocking fire exits. Notifying HR did nothing. A colleague of mine called OSHA, and only when the legal team was contacted did they provide a safe workspace. - Very difficult for incompetent staff, especially management to get fired. - Leadership has big egos. One executive is an executive in TWO hospital districts and is making the other hospital staff miserable too. - Leadership was effectively appointed by Florida governor; the board was manipulated by Tallahassee and then voted in the governor’s staff as leaders. - No respect for employees’ lives. Work from home was ended ambiguously and then suddenly, giving no one time to make arrangements. - Management in IT is tracking salaried employee’s hours like they are children. - Childish coworkers who go to HR when your manager lets you go to the doctor; and claim unfair treatment because you worked part of a day remote. - Incomprehensible managers who can’t communicate get promoted
