Pros
People you work with will likely be great to work with and team mentality is common in the many small teams at Bruker.
Cons
-I was told upper management (daltonics) has said that they have no interest in employee retention and that if an employee stays more than 5 years they (management) are doing a bad job. -Your starting salary will likely be ok, just behind the bell curve. It is unlikely that you will get a raise worth a damn even if you have more responsibility then when you started and you're doing 60+ hour weeks as I did. -Over 5 years raises were all less than 2% for everyone I talked to. Some years there were no raises at all in the Callid group because of missed projections even though the Corporation I worked in was breaking projections and making up for the other corporation's losses. They will use any excuse to not pay you market. -If you're doing anything remotely close to production in the US you can count on it going to EU pretty much as soon as its established. Saw this happen 3 times. Especially true if bought out. -Little interest in educating you in your field if you're a technical person. Most groups in Billerica are under 10 people and very much like a startup you will sink or swim. Less true for scientist, more true for engineers. But keep in mind that everyone I worked with there was laid off including some of Corporate HR right after they laid off the production group (~50 people) so your experience may vary.
