Pros

the stores are in such a mess that youre always ridiculously busy.... but it is never ending.

Cons

Burlington is a terrible company. Corporate is corrupt, they do not care about their employees or stores. They constantly try to get out of paying you what you are owed for the hours / overtime you have worked and vacations that you had PTO for. Also if you try to reach out to HR for any problems, you will then be met with retaliation for saying anything to begin with. Burlington ultimately doesn't care about its employees, and treats them like disposable pieces of machinery to be used and discarded whenever it suits their needs.. They care more about their (upper managements) own comfort and security than taking care and supporting the people that they're supposed to be serving. This company is so shady. Also they love to eliminate hard working peoples positions, and then keep the lazy people who do no work, bc when instead of assessing who merits being cut, they love to go off of seniority. Terrible company, with terrible corporate. I have rated them 1 star, but in all reality, they don't even deserve a 1/2 star rating.

Pros

The discounts are great! If one of the good managers/team leads is working, I'll be able to get an extra smoke break or maybe even two. Otherwise, it's not happening. They've been very, very flexible with everyone's hours! Much better than anywhere else I've worked! I really appreciate that the majority of the staff haven't been racist, discriminating, judgemental, etc. They've given work opportunities to all types of people (they're not picky on one's race, disability, age, looks, etc). 👍 They really do seem to be an equal-opportunity employer.

Cons

There has been lots and lots of theft because they have absolutely no security other than their products' tags. Almost rarely do we see a janitor or the manager. It's been very hard to get used to coworkers because they're constantly going through staff! It's not just me that's been bothered by it. Plus, SO many staff, including myself, have always whined and complained about our lack of hours, but the full-time staff get overtime?! Yeah, the amount of hours absolutely sucks when it's not a big "shopping" time! Your best luck for getting your wanted hours is only around Christmas and back-to-school. 🙄
