Business services employee - Administrative Buro Happold Employee Review

Employees in business services are looked down on by the engineers and will not really socialise with them. There seems to be no adherence to the internal rules. Many of the partners just run projects without any thought for the consequences or without the correct approvals being sought and when challenged they do not care. I have never worked in such a contradictory place. Some of the directors and associate directors will not heed advice from other departments they have an arrogance and assume they know better and then when they have messed it up ask the relevant business services team to sort it out. Overworked and when I raised that I have issues due to stress nothing was done about it other than it will be ok soon. Whilst there was no expectation to work more than my contracted hours it was the mental pressure of knowing how much I had to do and how many people were yelling at me with little help from senior managers above me that me made me decide to leave. Generally the environment can be deemed toxic. This company has more mental aid first aiders than actual first aiders and I think that speaks volumes about this company.
