Pros

BusPatrol’s entire executive team is top notch - brilliant, strategic, driven, and committed to growth. The company is in a rapid stage of growth nationwide. If you’re not comfortable with hard work, adaptability, an ethos that values ideas and a bravery to try those ideas, even at the risk of disruption….then BusPatrol is not for you. If this sounds refreshing, exciting, and you love challenges that contribute to a greater good….what are you waiting for? Former reviewers noted there isn’t a clear path to career advancement - that has definitely changed with a recent re-organization and dedication to building out HR/People ops. While it’s not realistic to expect to be advanced every single year, with hard work the process is in place to be considered for promotions and new opportunities.

Cons

While the future of the company will have a centralized In-person location for future hires as we scale, current employees are remote and on multiple time zones. Some teams/departments have figured out their working dynamics in this environment better than others. A strong comfort with technology and a natural self-starter would make for a smoother start to a career here.

Pros

When I first joined the company, I wasn’t completely sure whether it was truly mission-driven or simply using the mission as a talking point. It didn’t take long for me to see that their commitment is real. This organization genuinely prioritizes its mission of protecting children over the bottom line, and that authenticity shows in every part of the culture. The environment here is unlike any other workplace I’ve experienced. It feels like a family—supportive, collaborative, and grounded in shared purpose. Leadership doesn’t just say they care about employees; they consistently show it. They invest not only in our well-being, but in the well-being of our families as well. It’s rare to work somewhere where your paycheck directly contributes to saving lives, and that meaning gives my work a level of fulfillment I’ve never had before. The executive leadership team is approachable, engaged, and genuinely connected with employees at every level. From day one, this hasn’t felt like “just a job.” Instead, it’s a place where I feel I’m making a real contribution—to children, to families, to the community, and to overall safety. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of something that truly matters.

Cons

The only downside is that the organization is not yet operating in every state. Given how important and impactful this mission is, this type of work truly needs to be available nationwide.
