Cons

The best experience at ByteDance makes up for any smaller cons - almost none so far in my experience of almost 2 year!

Pros

The salary was so good, I thought I could do anything for that kind of money.

Cons

I could not. There was no work-life balance. I don’t think they even knew what a content or product design does. Project managers in China would mock up designs and content and then ask us to clean it up. No collaboration outside of that. Yet our performance was evaluated as if we were operating normally.
