Pros
- Job Security (although was hard hit by pandemic) - Competent and enthusiastic coworkers, part of company culture - Top tier benefits - Management lets you do your thing unless you give reason to be on their radar Overall I would say it is a great place to land on when you are looking for stability. If you are looking for growth however (monetary or technically), you will stagnate here, although vertical and horizontal movement is supposedly encouraged.
Cons
- Bottom tier pay. They will say that the benefits account for it, but it is so below par that getting private insurance while working at most other companies would do the trick and you'd leave with a net positive. - Bottom tier salary increases. Pay was cut temporarily during pandemic and no increase was given in 2020. The following year, pay increase did not even match inflation. - As most big companies, good place to start out to learn processes and familiarize with complex working environment. However, giving your all, as most new graduates do, does not equate in anything besides "Thanks".
