Pros

I love working at Computer Aid (CAI)! I am based in Chicago in the Midwest operating portfolio. From day 1, I have found the culture to be inclusive and positive. The focus is on doing the right thing which includes clients, employees and the community. It is a collaborative environment where differences are embraced and celebrated. Tom Weaver, the EVP of the Midwest, sets an extremely positive tone. He has an open door policy and is accessible to all employees. He is a fantastic leader. The company has been very sensitive and communicative around the COVID-19 pandemic. Our teams did not skip a beat in supporting our clients, with customer satisfaction scores staying the same or improving. I love my job and colleagues. I foresee a long career at CAI.

Cons

The only con is a lack of 401(k) match by the company. The rest of the benefits are comprehensive and fairly priced.

Pros

- Opportunity to work on interesting, high-impact projects. - Flexible work environment that supports work/life balance. - Many talented and knowledgeable colleagues across the organization.

Cons

- Leadership dynamics can feel misaligned, particularly when less experienced teams are driving decisions that impact more tenured professionals. - Career growth feels unclear and, at times, unattainable without the "right" visibility or relationships. - Cross-functional friction is common, and navigating disagreement does not always feel supported or safe. - Compensation and advancement do not consistently reflect market expectations or individual contributions. - Organizational priorities can feel disconnected from the day-to-day experience of employees.

We're glad to hear that the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, the flexibility of our work environment, and the caliber of your colleagues have been consistent highlights.
