Pros

I would consider CAPTRUST a "small" company, although I'm sure the 10+ year veterans would disagree. To me, that is a pro. The actual office location is in the North Hills area of Raleigh, which is very central and convenient to a lot of places. They keep free drinks on hand and have "snack time" once a day. The senior level managers are all very approachable and seem to genuinely care.

Cons

CAPTRUST is a very "old school"firm/company. Work/life balance is not flexible and there is no working from home allowed. For a company as small as CAPTRUST internal communication is poor and the culture tends to be very secretive. The benefits are worse than average for the area/industry. The firm invests little to no money in technology to make employee's lives easier. There is little to no career path in client services. There are 5 positions with different titles that are essentially the same but you are given the title that goes along with how much experience you have.

Pros

Great benefits, nice perks, room for growth.

Cons

Horrible company culture. Constant racism in the companies practices and blatant sexism by a lot of the advisors here. If they make any money for the company just know that they will not be held accountable for their actions. High turnover for people of color. Pay is not commensurate with performance only tenure. Clear elitism without consequence.
