Pros
Opportunities for advancement based on performance without the usual years of experience and/or years at level red tape that big firms enforce which prolongs promotion even if an individual is performing at higher level.
Cons
Disorganized. The company buys so many smaller firms and doesn’t ensure they all work as one. There aren’t devoted niche teams/leaders of the firm to consult. The learning and development team isn’t good about providing helpful guidance on tax final or proposed regs, as other big 10 firms do. Too much reliance on billable time instead of taking into account effectiveness and efficiency of work combined with productive non-billable time.
