Pros

Benefits, Team Outings, Remote Program, Corporate Discounts makes this company attractive to work for.

Cons

People that deserve promotions are overlooked often. Office politics are at a ridiculous high here. If you have a differing opinion about process improvements than your manager, then you could be put on their hit list for the duration of your employment. Turnovers are very high at CBRE. The company is always changing their structure, and when it does change, it means that either some people will be laid off, or more people will be hired. The interns are not treated like they matter. When we have team outings, the interns are required to stay in the office and work. The Directors and Controllers there are not advocates for the employee's well being. They value the managers far more than the employees. If an employee has a complaint about the manager, they will simply sweep it under the rug because you don't matter. Also, they pay is minimal and it is like pulling teeth to get promoted if you are not the manager's pet. And when you do get a promotion, the responsibilities are the same, but you have tons more work to do. It is as if you have more than 24 hours in your day. The company perks are more than a lot of other companies, but I still suggest that you proceed with caution when working here.

Pros

Honestly? Not much. The vision insurance was decent, I guess. Truthfully though, there wasn't much.

Cons

Management's refusal to allow employees freedom. I routinely got praise from the client and hit the maximum score on my goals. If things weren't done "by the book", they were wrong. The health insurance was awful. Going to self-employment, one of the things that you hear is that you're going to pay a lot for health insurance. However, I'm actually paying LESS than when I worked for CBRE. When you work for CBRE, don't consider job security something that you're going to have. I saw two employees with 15+ years for the company get laid off, with zero severance and no option to transfer elsewhere, unless they wanted to uproot their families and move states for more work and a pay cut. This is the worst company that I've ever had the displeasure to work for. If you have literally any other option of employment, please consider doing that.
