Outdated mindsets, rigid hierarchal leadership structure. Very white. Very male. Large population of older professionals (Boomers, Gen X). Toxic masculinity prevalent in sales culture, some of which do seem to get away with anything. Locked into a role for a year minimum, even if it's not the right fit or if your boss is abusive. Impossible to get a reasonable raise unless you switch roles. Cost of living/location is not factored in, they base all pay off their cost of living near the HQ in Chicago. Getting a new role all depends on who you know. They refuse to make any solid stance on bodily rights or advocate on behalf of LBGTQ+ coworkers/families. Reporting discrimination or microaggressions doesn't always result in action (yes, they have an ethics hotline and non discrimination policies in place, but it may take months to investigate with no guaranteed resolution or immediate action to protect your psychological safety).
