Pros

Historically - CDW built its reputation on valuing employees and fostering collaboration, recognition of effort, and a culture centered on well-being.

Cons

After several acquisitions, CDW is not who they used to be. They certainly don't treat their people how they used to. Shifting priorities, and mixed messages has chipped away at the stable, people-first culture that used to make this place great. The Sirius acquisition in particular has been sloppy, at best. And leadership is now considered a joke. Leadership has increasingly become about optics, managing up for personal advancement rather than focusing on developing, supporting, and advocating for their teams. Layoffs, in particular, have been handled in ways that feel cold and detached-sometimes downright CRUEL. I’ve watched long-time coworkers, with no performance concerns, be let go without notice, while others with weaker contributions remained. The process is abrupt, people are locked out of their systems immediately and can’t even retrieve personal items from years of work. It sends a discouraging message to the rest of the team. It’s been really hard to watch.

Pros

You have the ability to sell full stack solutions, services and software.

Cons

I have worked at CDW for 10yrs and every single year they have changed the comp plan in a way that makes it harder for sellers to make money (constantly moving the goal post). Prior to 2020 CDW had little to no lay offs now it is happening every six months. They say the reasons is to reduce cost and improve efficiencies BUT as a company our sales continue to grow along with the C-levels pockets.
