Pros

Diverse opportunities with many technical areas available. Employee is pretty much in control of their potential and if they are willing to find business they can go after it and grow as fast as they can manage.

Cons

Dependence on government contracts, many of which are smaller contracts which means short duration and need to keep finding next work. There are new initiatives in place to combat this with longer duration contracts and more commercial work.

There is a lot of opportunity to learn, grow, and experience new things, everyone is super friendly, and there is a lot of support from coworkers and superiors.
