Pay is average for a firm of this size. Nothing special about the firm for the industry. They started cutting some portions of paid overtime for salary exempt employees and tried to sell it as industry standard (although not sure it is when weighing the rest of their benefits package). In 2019 they changed their vacation policy (amount of days accrued) so that it took longer to get more days unless you were high up in the management chain. This is all due to the ownership structure. The firm is owned by First Reserve and is not employee-owned. Engineers working at a more employee-focused (e.g. employee owned) firm would get better pay and benefits.
