Pros
CHEP Mexico is a customer service focused company which focuses on providing value and facilitate client operations, with the largest infrastructure to operate the business of pooled pallets in the country. As an employee at CHEP, you will have a salary slightly higher than the average in the country, the organisational culture is relaxed and you will be able to organise your time, tasks, projects and resources in general with little supervision. There's an open door policy and good concern about the environment and health & safety in the workplace. By policy, salary increments are proportional to the employee's performance which is assessed every year.
Cons
At CHEP, the personnel is not maintained long, being the average contract duration 2-3 years. One or two rounds of massive firings are conducted every year, what the employees call "beheading round". The chances for internal growth are limited because there are bias to fill in the positions that become available, ranging from nepotism to influence peddling rather than a transparent HR process. No training is provided to employees so you need to learn on the go.
