Pros
Like most companies, CHG has core values pasted on the walls of their office. And unlike most companies that I've worked for, they actually do a good job of living them. My leaders really seem to care about me and my career. I get the support I need and feel like my manager is my biggest cheerleader. I also love this company's focus on making a difference in the community. They give my eight hours a year to volunteer, which is awesome. And they provide lots of opportunities to get involved with worthy causes.
Cons
When I started at CHG five years ago, my career path was pretty murky. I had no idea how to get a promotion and I didn't know what advancement opportunities were out there. The company has done a lot to fix that, so things are much better. I have a clear set of objectives to reach my next promotion and I feel like I have more control in the matter. But with the size of the company, it's still not a place where you can make rapid advancements. You have to work hard and pay your dues. Promotions are taken a bit slower than other places I've worked.
