Pros

The best thing about working at CHG are the people. CHG does a good job hiring people who are positive and easy to work with. I also enjoy frequent one-on-one's with my immediate leader to keep us on the same page and help with my professional development. In addition, CHG provides a great work life balance, a huge on-site gym, game room, and an on-site cafe.

Cons

Each team can have a slightly different culture. I am fortunate to work on a great team, but like anywhere, there are some teams that are more high stress than others.

Pros

CHG sincerely cares about people. I love working here and feel that my leaders always have my back. I'm also proud of the positive difference we're making in the world. In addition to supporting the healthcare system, we help send medical providers on mission trips around the world.

Cons

Not much to mention here. Wish we had more sabbaticals offered. Better 401(k) match would be appreciated, as well.

Pros

Ability to work from home. OK pay. Mostly great people to work with.

Cons

Used to be a company that never laid people off. Now it seems that every month, some group has layoffs. We are being told that AI won't replace any people, yet people are being laid off and not replaced. Promotions from within are rare. VPs are hired from outside the company. Culture has changed. Bad behavior is tolerated if that person gives good results for the bottom line. Leaders can push to have people in other departments demoted or fired. Many leaders only pay lip service to Work/Life balance. I often take my computer with me on my days off so I can jump on and take care of things. I frequently answer emails and phone calls on days off. Lots of pressure to come into the office to work, even if the rest of your team isn't there. Messaging from management is confusing. We are told that CHG is gaining market share in a difficult market and then told that CHG isn't meeting its goals, so raises will be very small and the bonuses won't be that great. But somehow CHG is doing really well. Skip level 1:1 are a waste of time. I've figured out that if I just get whoever I'm talking to talking about their stuff, I don't actually have to say anything. If I do manage to bring up a concern or ask a question, I'm told that I'm making an interesting point, but I don't get any further information or answers. Basically, CHG has become just like any other corporation.
