Pros

Sounds like a great company. More geared towards people who like to "grind" - 100 cold calls a day is nothing. The numbers on their board going excite you to perform and compete against others. Work life balance sounded great as well. The recruiter and two interviewers I spoke with were very pleasant.

Cons

(from #2 of 3 interviewers) - The hiring process is a giant pain. You meet 3 big wigs , you come back and meet 3 managers, you come back and sit with the team for an hour or two, then they make you an offer. The salary offered was 45k + commission which was NON NEGOTIABLE !!! I explained to the recruiter that the salary was the biggest issue and she assured me that they would be open to talks and is a "case by case" situation. I actually declined speaking with the site director (#3 interviewer) since it was such an issue with the second interviewer. Didn't want to waste their time and felt lied to.

Pros

CHG has been an incredible place to work for the last decade. I have been provided many opportunities to grow and contribute in new ways, There are many thrilling business problems to solve and challenges that keep me engaged and excited to come to work each day. I love the culture, the people I get to work with, the flexibility, the rewarding and meaningful work, and what we are building together.

Cons

I'd love to see a higher 401K match and maybe sabbaticals every 10 years.

Pros

Ability to work from home. OK pay. Mostly great people to work with.

Cons

Used to be a company that never laid people off. Now it seems that every month, some group has layoffs. We are being told that AI won't replace any people, yet people are being laid off and not replaced. Promotions from within are rare. VPs are hired from outside the company. Culture has changed. Bad behavior is tolerated if that person gives good results for the bottom line. Leaders can push to have people in other departments demoted or fired. Many leaders only pay lip service to Work/Life balance. I often take my computer with me on my days off so I can jump on and take care of things. I frequently answer emails and phone calls on days off. Lots of pressure to come into the office to work, even if the rest of your team isn't there. Messaging from management is confusing. We are told that CHG is gaining market share in a difficult market and then told that CHG isn't meeting its goals, so raises will be very small and the bonuses won't be that great. But somehow CHG is doing really well. Skip level 1:1 are a waste of time. I've figured out that if I just get whoever I'm talking to talking about their stuff, I don't actually have to say anything. If I do manage to bring up a concern or ask a question, I'm told that I'm making an interesting point, but I don't get any further information or answers. Basically, CHG has become just like any other corporation.
