Pros

Amenities, cafeteria, nice building, parking garage

Cons

CHG has lost itself over the last couple of years. Rather than work on running a company efficiently and taking care of employees like they claim the company has fallen into being overly political and making business decisions based on the CEOs political views. A lot of employees wish he'd just retire already. Kind of like how he forced a ton of good employees to retire early in 2020. All of the positive reviews that are being added is marketing done by CHG. They stopped winning a lot of awards for being a great place to work and need to boost those numbers. The company pushes employees to give great reviews on Glassdoor so they can win an award for it. Glassdoor is the last place that gives them awards anymore thanks to false reviews. The company is struggling so much still trying to figure out culture since the pandemic. So many people learned during the beginning of the pandemic that the culture was a facade. The gaslighting was over. Turnover rates took an all time high. The company tried different political ways to fix it. Meaning, what was popular on the news politically is the stance the company took. Then they shoved that view down the employees throats. So many good people left and now they struggle to find employees and train them. CHG has a bad rap now and the answer is to add reviews on Glassdoor to con people. Well done Scott Beck. That's a great move as CEO. Pretty soon you'll be forced into retirement by the board members when they see the numbers after this year.

Pros

CHG has been an incredible place to work for the last decade. I have been provided many opportunities to grow and contribute in new ways, There are many thrilling business problems to solve and challenges that keep me engaged and excited to come to work each day. I love the culture, the people I get to work with, the flexibility, the rewarding and meaningful work, and what we are building together.

Cons

I'd love to see a higher 401K match and maybe sabbaticals every 10 years.

Pros

Ability to work from home. OK pay. Mostly great people to work with.

Cons

Used to be a company that never laid people off. Now it seems that every month, some group has layoffs. We are being told that AI won't replace any people, yet people are being laid off and not replaced. Promotions from within are rare. VPs are hired from outside the company. Culture has changed. Bad behavior is tolerated if that person gives good results for the bottom line. Leaders can push to have people in other departments demoted or fired. Many leaders only pay lip service to Work/Life balance. I often take my computer with me on my days off so I can jump on and take care of things. I frequently answer emails and phone calls on days off. Lots of pressure to come into the office to work, even if the rest of your team isn't there. Messaging from management is confusing. We are told that CHG is gaining market share in a difficult market and then told that CHG isn't meeting its goals, so raises will be very small and the bonuses won't be that great. But somehow CHG is doing really well. Skip level 1:1 are a waste of time. I've figured out that if I just get whoever I'm talking to talking about their stuff, I don't actually have to say anything. If I do manage to bring up a concern or ask a question, I'm told that I'm making an interesting point, but I don't get any further information or answers. Basically, CHG has become just like any other corporation.
