They spend a lot of money “on” their people instead of having better salaries. Their leadership travels the country ($), throws big parties ($), has all sorts of activities in office ($), hires entertainment for meetings ($), but then has lower than average salaries except for those on commission. Something feels off. Not a lot of room for growth for those not on commission, as the target is always moving, and departments are always changing. So just when you are ready to advance, you aren’t able to because of a new team dynamic. It delays advancement.
