Pros

Most non managers are good to work with.

Cons

If you are looking for a solid corporate career with quality leadership and direction, look elsewhere. Senior leadership don't know what they are doing. They are "throwing spaghetti against the wall" hoping for their special leadership direction to stick. This leads to no one believing in them and just waiting for the current idea to fail, so they don't need to put time and energy into something that won't last. This is present from the new CEO down to the lowest managers. The current CEO is a perfect example of this. Her Product organization changed direction so many times I couldn't keep track of what they were supposed to be doing. While she was trying to figure it out, product owners and business analysts had their careers change to product managers and then back again several times, driving people to positions they weren't hired for. Now she is the first CEO to have layoffs related to the poor performance of the organization, affecting people that dedicated their lives to the vision of the former leaders. Engineering leaders are just as bad, maybe worse. They knowingly violated vendor contracts with the support of their legal team and employee relations. They are also another prime example of not having a solid vision and direction for the organization. They have had multiple failed attempts to update the companies sales tool, wasting multiple millions of dollars. Their data team is ruled with fear and a toxic culture by their VP, missing multiple delivery dates due to multiple direction changes and over promising. The sales teams have lost faith in the entire part of the organization and just do their own thing. This is also supported and encouraged by the C suite, calling it entrepreneurialism. All of this is hidden by the company's core values that only apply when it is convenient. Putting people first is bent by leaders so excuses are acceptable. Integrity and ethics doesn't apply to senior leadership who protect their high salaries and company equity stakes at any cost, including having employee relations exit people with shady tactics. Leadership training is a joke. All managers attend to be seen but aren't expected to implement any of the improvements, they just go back to what they want to do without consequences. This leadership culture is pervasive across all corporate departments. If you choose to work at this company, have an exit plan and run if they try and "promote" you to a leader. Beware the hidden agendas.

Pros

CHG sincerely cares about people. I love working here and feel that my leaders always have my back. I'm also proud of the positive difference we're making in the world. In addition to supporting the healthcare system, we help send medical providers on mission trips around the world.

Cons

Not much to mention here. Wish we had more sabbaticals offered. Better 401(k) match would be appreciated, as well.

Pros

Ability to work from home. OK pay. Mostly great people to work with.

Cons

Used to be a company that never laid people off. Now it seems that every month, some group has layoffs. We are being told that AI won't replace any people, yet people are being laid off and not replaced. Promotions from within are rare. VPs are hired from outside the company. Culture has changed. Bad behavior is tolerated if that person gives good results for the bottom line. Leaders can push to have people in other departments demoted or fired. Many leaders only pay lip service to Work/Life balance. I often take my computer with me on my days off so I can jump on and take care of things. I frequently answer emails and phone calls on days off. Lots of pressure to come into the office to work, even if the rest of your team isn't there. Messaging from management is confusing. We are told that CHG is gaining market share in a difficult market and then told that CHG isn't meeting its goals, so raises will be very small and the bonuses won't be that great. But somehow CHG is doing really well. Skip level 1:1 are a waste of time. I've figured out that if I just get whoever I'm talking to talking about their stuff, I don't actually have to say anything. If I do manage to bring up a concern or ask a question, I'm told that I'm making an interesting point, but I don't get any further information or answers. Basically, CHG has become just like any other corporation.
