Pros

Pay is decent if you come in with experience. Exposure to all different diagnoses and care levels

Cons

Management fosters negativity, complacency, and also plays favorites. If you’re from the memorial days you’re golden. If you’re new, forget it. There is no incentive to become a better therapist.

Pros

Stable employment. Benefits. Potential for overtime

Cons

They funnel all of the money to leadership positions and towards new construction. In my current position inflation is higher than what they're willing to compensate me more so each year becomes more depressing. The mental health issues I'm suffering compounds year after year just like compound interest. Anyway that's why I'm here looking for a new job. If you're in a nursing position you'll end up finding yourself jumping to UT Tyler so you can a pay raise and then jump back to Christus. It's essentially price discrimination but for wages.
