      Good benefits, pension, 401k match, good work/life balance, accommodating to balancing act of employees with small children

      Cons

      Politically and ethnically homogoneous, flex time and work from home options are very rare, and only after you show you have special circumstances or significant time-in as an employee.

      Pros

      Clean refinery, good enough compensation

      Cons

      Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
