      CHS is in a stable industry. After all, as our new CEO says, we are in agriculture and energy to feed the world. And as the world continues to grow, that demand for food is going to keep growing. The cooperative has large company perks with a small family feel.

      CHS is in an industry which is dependent on commodity markets, which can be a challenge when prices are down.

      Pros

      Clean refinery, good enough compensation

      Cons

      Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
