      General lack of professionalism, very cliquish culture. If you are any kind of minority I would think twice about taking a job at CHS. If you are a native Minnesotan you have a better chance of fitting in. CHS is probably the least progressive of any corporate headquarters / Fortune 500 companies in the Twin Cities.

      Pros

      Clean refinery, good enough compensation

      Cons

      Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
