Pros

Please read the cons - especially if you are a woman, minority, LGBTQIA+, disabled, or practice any faith other than Christianity.

Cons

I have nothing nothing positive to say. If you would like to set your career back and work in a toxic, political, unprofessional culture run by white men, work here. It is not POC, LGBTQA+ - friendly environment. If you are a young woman working at this company, expect to be sexually harassed. I and many other former female colleagues share similar stories. If you go to HR they will brush it under the rug and protect the perpetrators with a file. Not only that, but many colleagues were openly evangelical and would pray and bring up god in meetings. I personally have no issues with people practicing their faith, but please do not bring it to work and make it front and center at a publicly traded company. I may write a book on my experience here someday because the stories I have are wild. Many of the company's DEI efforts are performative. They have an LGBTQIA+ employee resource group but refuse to hang the pride flag outside HQ during pride month. Make it make sense.

Pros

Clean refinery, good enough compensation

Cons

Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
