Pros
Benefits are decent. The 401(k) match isn’t great, but there is a pension and profit sharing as well. The people are genuinely nice, and managers care about their employees. The purpose of the company - essentially to feed the world- is inspiring and motivating as well. work life balance is good too.
Cons
Pay is just okay. The company has gone through a lot a of change in the past few years and people are suffering from change fatigue. In the area of the company I work in, there is very little structure. Many things are also very corporate-centric.

Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
