Cons

The Accounting department is so behind the times. Their programs are old as can be and are not streamlined. Re-work must be done from one program to another. There is no work life balance, if you take time off, you need to work 70-80 hours upon returning for the next few weeks to barely attempt to get caught up. When voicing about needs and assistance, the feedback from my management was awful, mean, and degrading. My manager couldn't even perform the tasks she asked her team to work on.

Pros

Clean refinery, good enough compensation

Cons

Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
