Pros
1. Certain departments have excellent synergy with each other, and some management can be very understanding and caring 2. The company is making a visible effort to move towards a more "diverse" and "American" work culture.
Cons
1. Although some teams can have excellent synergy, some other teams have political power struggles internally 2. Communication between management and especially upper management is very precarious and seems like stepping on egg-shells (very asian-like) 3. Upper management's decisions could simply uproot decisions in an instant, regardless of research or data. Sometimes it feels like "what's the point of putting in all this effort if one guy can just undermine it?" 4. Work hours. The expectations for some positions are similar to Korea (come in early, leave late), which leaves those poor individuals with almost no social or family life. However, this expectation seems to mostly apply to the expats, so newer employees hired are safe (kind of).
