Pros
If you're a lazy worker who wants easy money then this place is for you. Managers don't know what they're doing because they have not been trained properly, so just take advantage of it as there will be no repercussion. Other pros are free movies, but with limitations.
Cons
There are a lot of things wrong with this place and i'll start listing them here. First and foremost this is a Korean owned movie theater. If you are not Korean then there will be subtle red flags of racism here and there. Managers tend to favor Koreans over other ethnicity while i worked there and it was pretty obvious where the respect was going towards to. Secondly, this job is not meant to help you grow as a worker. You will have to do this yourself on your own will. They expect you to be fully trained after a few days and the individual training you is already incompetent, so you technically have a blind person leading another blind person. After your "training" they ask you to perform a task which you were never trained to do or even heard of and then shift the blame on you for not being "trained". The director or managers go to line is to just pretty much blame it on someone else because they themselves were not even trained properly. Oh, and to become a manager all you simply have to do is befriend one of Managers or be Korean. Third, this company lies a lot. They will keep telling you there is potential raises twice a year and then say they don't have enough funds to give out raises. But at the same time most of the individuals working at HQ or are managers are abusing overtime hours. Oh and if you do get a raise off of your hard work it will be similar to the inflation rate, so technically you're not getting a raise. After this "raise" the company will act like they did you a huge favor and expect more from you. Last of all this company has a problem with communication and laziness. All the managers talked bad to their colleagues and their employees all the time. On top of that, the managers just stay inside the office all day purposely so they would not have to work and let the ushers/concession carry all the weight. When the place is overcrowded and understaff, managers will just pretend to be doing something else so customer contact is avoided. They hire young kids who have no work experience and then place them to be supervisors or managers over individuals who are more competent. Then they have the audacity to ask why the theater is not performing well. Good ideas will just be tossed away as they have a "higher" position than you therefore they must know more. Managers/Directors also have a huge ego and they think they are never wrong even though 15+ workers quit at the same day. All of the managers that worked on grand opening are no longer there because they either quit or got fired.
