Pros

Co-workers are like family, pretty decent benefits, fairly laid back atmosphere.

Cons

Constant upper management changes make it difficult for the workforce to understand the direction the company is wanting to go. Upper management acts like they want to hear your opinion, but if they don't like it (even if it's right) they will ignore it. The top manager, Harry, very rarely comes to Fort Dodge but makes decisions as if he truly understands business in Iowa. Too many of his decisions are poorly thought out leading to decreased morale and a lack of motivation. Corporate leadership should get out of the way and let the local employees run the plant. You have smart capable people here, let them prove it! Spend money on investments that will actually mean something for the company. Management has been giving a lot of good ideas, but because the ROI isn't fast enough they scrap the idea completely. Sometimes good things take time...look to the future, not next year. Pay for administration staff is laughably low. The company keeps pumping money towards production staff leaving the administrative people underpaid and looking for work.
