Pros

Pay was not bad...hours...and some of the best people.

Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE! The management was weak in courage and encouragement. Forever the "hit them with a stick" type of leadership. If you did not agree with and or firmly plant your lips on someones butt...your opinion did not matter and was viewed as negative. Change was always one way and never thought thru to what effects it would have when implemented...much time spent going back to "fix" the latest change. Leadership surrounds themselves with " yes " men & women..Never hearing what the people actually doing the job think..which leads to many changes that simply don't make sense to a job that depends on quality and production goals both of which continue to show no improvement...and are for most unobtainable, without fudging production numbers in some way. So the unreasonable goals are going to leave them only the best liars and cheaters they can train. With only a few AMAZING people doing all the real work!

Pros

Pay is great, co worker support, transparency, PTO, Fully remote

Cons

Training is very rough. There is zero formal training & everyone operates their desk differently so you are confused on the correct way to complete your job. Underwriters are expecting too much of their UT & want to be spoiled. There needs to be a strict proocol. The only way to voice concerns is to be completely honest & while it helps, it still doesnt make up for no formal training. You just have to deal with it. Underwriting Technicians are overwhelmed & have too many Underwriters to cover. CNA needs to hire for help. Overwhelmed employees lead to burn out & mental health issues. Underwriters deserve to have their own UT/UA. The workload is ridiculous & causes more mistakes. Somedays you cant even breathe.
