Pros

Quality insurance products, reliable and dependable. Life policies are great value. The local management is really positive and supportive. I grew a lot as a professional working for COUNTRY, and a lot of that was due to the management and the company’s culture. They do invest a lot in their employees.

Cons

Home office disconnect, weird issues that become the agent’s problems to fix. Collections department needs to be a little less aggressive and easier to manage. Communication to the agent needs to be a little more clear on policy issuance. Benchmarks should be adjusted for life policy requirements; if a policy is sold but is denied by the underwriters, there should be some credit given in order to remain employed. If you require x number of COUNTRY life policies per validation period, there should be some adjustment made for policies sold but declined by the underwriters. Also, an insurance company should be able to provide some decent health insurance options for employees.
