Pros
Ekkk. Best reasons to work at CF? There are a few good people there however the majority is a lost cause. New executive leadership has managed to completely derail and progress towards culture. Company is in a state of fix it quick because they haven’t been growing as they needed. However the plan in place is not working. Wait, sorry. This was supposed to be a “Pro”. I’ll end how I led, ekkk.
Cons
I honestly don’t think there is enough room. To start there are many “diversity” groups that promote diversity but that isn’t really what CF really wants. They say they want people of various cultures and backgrounds but in my experience they discriminate against these groups. Female led “women in insurance” groups yet the ringleader is a mean girl at heart ready to tear down anyone that doesn’t act, think or agree with her. The culture here is complete 1909, which I believe is the year this organization began. Insurance agents come and they go, there is little support for them to make it, zero significant movements toward technology, no belief system in valuing employees (they took away a few benefits, including tenure and recognition awards), weak benefits at best. Even current employees seek health coverage on spousal plans because the healthcare programs are so costly with terrible coverage - so good luck if you aren’t married. All in all, this company needs to learn that there is value in putting your employees first. If they feel valued, liked, appreciated and fairly compensated then they’ll show that in their work output to you. Oh, I think if forgot to mention, it’s still the good ole boys system around there so unless you’re friends with the right people be satisfied sitting in the same seat for years to come. Most leadership needs to go. This company would probably benefit from having fresh OUTSIDE perspective and people who know what they’re doing instead of playing chess with friends. There is a reason people leave by the hundreds, so unless you’re in dire need of a paycheck, I’d try to find a better company. Believe me, they’re out there.
