Pros
Railway industry has job security. Railway experience is in demand and transferable.
Cons
Non-union position has very low pay and reward compared to unionized roles. Long hours, no flex days, bonus doesn’t compensate for over worked hours. Managers are disgruntled and lack managerial skills. CPR’s training and mentorship is practically non-existent yet managers are held accountable and scrutinized.
