Pros
The Salt Lake Facility is in fact nice campus. You are crowded , up to 8 per room , in bunk beds and with very limited space . There is a kitchenette with fridges and microwave , adequate showers , laundry , game room , study room , Computer room , 2 TV lounges and shuttle to Walmart , Target and local grocery store. ALL of that glosses over the fact ,that your training will be so rushed that unless you have some natural talent for driving the trucks , that you will be setup for a predestined failure.
Cons
I went to their Salt Lake City "Premier" school. The training is a sham. You are told by recruiters , that it is 17 days . The truth is .., that is only if you don't pass the exam the first try and are held back extra days. They rush you thru 1 day of orientation and 3 days of on the road shifting and turns and then 3 days of backing. 3 or more students per driving trainer and up to 10 per backing instructor. You barely learn 1 thing before you are introduced to something new. They ARE in fact LONG days , with a total of about 10 hours actual instruction per day , BUT very little IF ANY , 1 on 1 instruction. About 70 hours total ( perhaps ) of any kind of instruction. The majority of your "training" is watching while other students drive or back. Compare that to accredited Truck driving schools where you will expect about 120 to 160 hours of actual instruction. I was passed by the school for my CDL even though my down shifting was so bad , that I could not do it properly on the road test. My PERSONAL OPINION is that they are only grinding out minimally qualified drivers to fill seats and get cheap labor to drive their trucks for 9 months. And the whole time holding you hostage to an unconscionable contract at 18%. They don't tell you about the TERMS of the contract before you get there I was never really able to competently handle the truck and quit before I hurt or killed someone or myself. I still need to go back to a truck driving school for more training , before I can get a CDL in my home state. Go elsewhere for your schooling and inquire with other companies , who will give you tuition reimbursement after you hire on to them.
