Pros
The technical staff at Critical Start are top notch, motivated, and require very little management oversight, so the culture is very collaborative and there is little to no bureaucracy. Our leadership team cares about us and listens to our concerns, feedback, and ideas. We've implemented new services based on the ideas and dreams of even junior level folks on the team. It's empowering to see that EVERYONE is a part of the great work we're doing! Compensation is great, and the company provides all of the tools I need to get my job done. Decisions and responsibility are pushed down to the lowest level possible to make it as easy and quick to get things done as possible. Leadership places a great deal of trust in the team instead of hoarding the decision making power to the "chosen few". Moving to a "take leave when you need to with no constraints" empowers our teams to work as hard as they need and want to, while allowing them to be present for their families and associates and find the right work/life blend.
Cons
Remote working isn't for everyone, but this isn't a problem particular to Critical Start - it's just the nature of the business we're in.
