Pros

Semi flexible hours, no one micro managing your work or time, ability to make more money by putting in hours, or taking time off by accepting less in project time

Cons

Too time constrained to accomplish goals effectively, upper management does not listen to suggestions by more experienced employees, company not willing to spend money to hire qualified reps, necessary information to complete assignments not readily available, chain of command not accessable, poor performers treated the same as great performers, Health insurance is offered but expensive and poor, Assignments posted with very little warning and tight time constraints, company has no respect for employees life out side of company, must be willing to work on at need basis, but company shows no commitment to employees, pay is pathetic and they cheat you on mileage both miles driven and $ per mile, they do not pay reasonable expenses for printing requirements. No sales data or information regarding performance in territory, no info at all outside of what you are to do

Cons

an honest example of your day, we will pay you for 15 minutes to run up to a Walmart. For that 15 minutes we will expect you to read instructions for any new changes, run in and check in with a manager, find our product, count our products exactly, go to the back room and find our products (which is by far the longest step), count our products in the back exactly, bring our products to the front of the store, take pictures and answer questions, remove all old products, stock by date, take pictures and answer questions. If this takes you 25-30 minutes, which is probably a more accurate accounting, we will still only pay you for 15. If you are lucky there may be another job that day, but if not you will be expected to waste your gas, drive to the Walmart that we demanded, and work that 15 minute job alone. In that case we will be demanding that you take an hour out of your day for $3.00.
