Pros

Decent benefits package, and a pretty laid-back atmosphere. The organization is pretty understanding of employees' desire to put family needs first.

Cons

Every company you work for has its frustrations and challenges; CSAA-IIB has some that make you wish you worked somewhere else. Ethical violations abound; the IT processes are the most restrictive and asinine I have ever seen; middle management is bloated and overpowered... it goes on. When I started at the company a couple years ago I was told that it was a company which took care of its employees, helped them develop, and empowered them to make positive changes. Those have all turned out to be untrue. Overall I have found this to be a very uncomfortable place to work: a place where I do not feel safe expressing my opinions outside of a select group of individuals, and where I can always count on management to choose short-term gain over long-term pain. There is an extraordinary lack of accountability and consistency in management, and I believe that it leads to people not doing their due diligence in doing their research and making good decisions. My most recent frustration, however, stems from overhearing a conversation between a manager and his supervisors where he instructed them to lower people's performance review scores. Apparently the manager in turn received this instruction from an executive. The goal was to reduce the amount of raises given out by reducing performance scores, rather than by simply equitably distributing the available funds based on a curve. That one incident, I think, speaks volumes about this company.
