Pros

I've met some of my closest friends and mentors through working with this company, and I've gained a lot of resume building experiences and achievements. My original team leader and operations manager gave me plenty of opportunities to show my skills when I first started. The first 3 of 4+ years were the best. Not all of management is out of touch, but sadly the ones that were most in touch had the least power. I can safely say that I appreciate the support I got from many of my leaders towards the end of my Career at CSC, although they couldn't mend the damage that had been done after so many years of being overworked and undercompensated.

Cons

There is definitely a salary discrepancy - after 3 years and success sharing /profit sharing, I saw written communication for a new higher with less experience making 4K more than I was making for a lower level position. Not acceptable. But he was male...and that seems to be a common trend. This played a huge role in my leaving CSC There is a need to grow and improve, but on minimal resources, including people. Fortunately, most of the employees share similar frustrations, and could build relationships and friendships on those frustrations (since management was was more keen on Band aid fixes) I do feel bad for some management though, and I want new or prospective employees to understand that for the most part, your team leader or manager will have your back. I sat in many meetings where Team Leaders and Managers were forced to enact policies or release products based on decisions from "directors of sales" and others who were so out of touch with employees and customers. A lot of the times, it's really not the team leaders's fault. I didn't see that at the time I was employed, but it makes sense now.

Thank you for your thoughtful and balanced feedback on your experience at CSC. It sounds like you had some great experiences with leaders, mentoring, friendships, and new opportunities to develop your skills. We would have preferred the chance to address and clarify with you any pay concerns prior to your departure. We strive to make our communities, customers, and employees better off tomorrow than they are today. This includes staying competitive and developing leader tools and skills to help employees succeed. As you know, our compensation program is based on a pay for performance philosophy. We sincerely appreciate your perspective and wish you continued success.

Pros

Great benefits. Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 at home) is nice for people who want to switch up the days they go into the office / work from home.

Cons

Terrible work-life balance! Overtime is optional, but managers try to guilt-trip you into working OT. The raise they offered was laughable, and I wasn't the only one who was insulted by it. Management is incredibly petty. I also sat through many conversations, started by a leader, surrounding politics and religion. If you're in the annual reports department, it is incredibly difficult to get out. I saw many people try to get into other departments only to be blocked each time. If you're in a satellite office, they will forget about you! They only care about the DE offices.
