      Pros

      Feels like working for yourself. Some minimal healthcare benefits, getting worse each year. Slashing costs to pretend profits are growing in the short term in preparation for a sale (again). If it works this time, perhaps the execs will get their buy-outs and finally leave.

      Cons

      Anti-poaching agreement with client Has none of the benefits of actually working for yourself Asked to give up vacation w/o comp No technical training in 10 years Difficult to impossible to get software Hardware updates at ~8 year interval No opportunity as 90% positions offshore, or H1-Visa rotation

      Pros

      Good benefits including 401(k) with company match.

      Cons

      Unrealistic workload. The pay does not match the amount of stress that comes from the amount of work given. They are hiring new employees for the same role offering about $30k-$40k more than they pay those who have been there for years instead of compensating current employees fairly. Management is out of touch. They are so focused on numbers that they cannot clearly see the internal issues that are compromising relationships with customers.
