Typical Pharma struggling to move away from old ways - Manager CSL Employee Review

Very political environment where many people (not all) whom have been working here for too many years are unwilling to accept the upcoming changes and rejecting the newer staff solely because they are feeling threatened. This is particularly true for Management level. Anyone with experience in Pharma has seen that a lot of the times Managers reach this level based on number of years of service as opposed to skill or achievement. Also, a lot of favouritism, clear attempts to keep "old friends" close so they can try and protect each other and badmounth those whom don't play their game.
