Pros

Tuition Reimbursement is a great way to pay for college. On the job training for multiple positions and cross training. Depending on work performance, as long as your are liked at work, there is room for advancement, opportunities to enhance skills, and learn new areas of expertise. Must be assertive to grow within the company. Benefits are good. Holiday and paid time off is generous compared to other companies since the after math from the recession. Plenty of hours and able to get over time pay. Decent wages and raises.

Cons

During the purge when I started working over a year and a half ago many long time employees were let go. Reason being was to change the work place atmosphere and to keep employees in line. They played the over used card of changing the culture of the work place. Sometimes HR has to much time on their hands where they start nit picking employees who have never had a issue in all the years they were there and changing procedures. Of course most of the lay offs started from the bottom up, with exception of long time employees. Starting from the top and working their way down would of been much more beneficial to make needed adjustments in this work place environment. I felt less loyalty by my employer and anxiety over job security. Even if I do my job honestly and to the best of my ability. Management is big on favoritism and gives their minions the advancements. I have never felt so left out in any work place which I am sure has a lot to do with my chronic anxiety issues. I usually get along with just about everyone, often complimented for my work ethics, and more appreciated in other jobs. The squeaky wheel and passive aggressive employees have the best chances of advancement. I am an intelligent person and this place is hard on my self esteem. There is to much hypocrisy here, where one is expected to do a perfect job in not enough time. That way it is easy to get rid of someone by using the excuse of not being able to keep up with work performance while others are over looked. This makes it hard to feel satisfaction on the job. There is skeletons in the closet and I will not reveal what I know.

Pros

I made a lot of friends there, and the employees on the floor were almost always very hard workers

Cons

The higher up in leadership you go the less you actually seem to care for the people actually doing the hardest work on the floor. The donors are often mean and impatient. And don't get kicked out if they are repeatedly an issue on the floor, because that's a loss of plasma. Many centers won't kick out anyone with veins that aren't suitable to be stuck. It's often up to the donor to walk out with two blown veins to decide not to come back.
