Pros
great benefits, bonuses, love talking to donors, fun traveling locations, great phleb experience, great coworker relationships
Cons
there are daily callouts on the donor floor due to stress levels, lack of experience, and newly completed phleb trainees being "thrown to the wolves" which leaves the company relying on those that have been cross trained (MSAs ) having to work both donor floor and medical until they try calling everyone else on their day off to come in and cover. I have opened both medical and donor floor too many times to count over the years as the only phleb and one new DST. I don't mind helping in other areas, but when it becomes a daily occurrence after years of being there, you get pretty burnt out. if the floor is actually staffed, then donors will be asking you to come to the floor regardless to stick them or to adjust their needle because they just get used to you always being out there.
