Pros

Good start to dip your toes into the medical field to see if it’s the type of job you would like.

Cons

Standing 24/7. They cross train most employees, so if you are multi skilled you will be put to work everywhere. I like to stay busy, but this is the type of company where the more efficient of a worker you are the harder your job is because they give you more responsibility with no pay to back it up. The management usually has favorites and even being one of them the job still sucked. I couldn’t imagine being one of the people not included in the work “family” culture I would feel outcasted. You usually either fit in here or you don’t there is no inbetween. Overall toxic work environment and the people that come to the establishment are crummy people. I would not recommend as a job overall. 3/10 overall. The schedule also sucks and they’re not too flexible with your schedule even as a part time employee. They try to give you the most amount of hours they can without making you reach 40 hours weekly so they don’t have to give benefits.

Pros

I made a lot of friends there, and the employees on the floor were almost always very hard workers

Cons

The higher up in leadership you go the less you actually seem to care for the people actually doing the hardest work on the floor. The donors are often mean and impatient. And don't get kicked out if they are repeatedly an issue on the floor, because that's a loss of plasma. Many centers won't kick out anyone with veins that aren't suitable to be stuck. It's often up to the donor to walk out with two blown veins to decide not to come back.
